What does it mean to be a human being in this day and age?
i continuously reflect on this thought......... and what i suspect is a huge lack in our ability to question the state of it. I use the term the state of it, as if life is a state of mind, then if our minds are engaged in social critique and philosophy , as once it was, we surely would be more proactive in co creating our present reality and development as we the people want it to be.
what i perceive is actually happening is generally the opposite. Corporations run the governing bodies of democracy, the elite own and dictate the political systems and all decisions appear to be made in a very secretive manner. what seems interesting is our adaptive capacity to current legislations that negatively dictate our lives; and how we almost too readily accept them.
so is it i wonder our ability to be able to over adapt as humans, or is it our inability to foresee danger and therefor our complacency that is potentially detrimental.
we are stepping into the techno-tronic age like never before. trans-humanism has become a house hold name and android, ~ nothing new there, A.I is our new best friend.
or is it?
